Dental Fillings

Gentle, tooth-colored fillings that repair cavities while they are still small.

Cavities are common in children, and the good news is that they are very treatable. Fixing a cavity while it is small protects the tooth, prevents pain and keeps your child eating and smiling normally.

What a cavity is

Bacteria on the teeth make acids that slowly soften a spot of enamel. Left alone, that soft spot grows deeper and can cause pain, infection or trouble chewing.

How a filling works

  1. Dr. Lee numbs the area so your child stays comfortable.
  2. The softened part of the tooth is gently removed and the spot is cleaned.
  3. A tooth-colored material is bonded in place and shaped to match the tooth.

Most children can eat normally once the numbness wears off. With good brushing and regular checkups, tooth-colored fillings last for years. Same-day appointments are often available when a tooth needs attention.
